The Saudi Ardah
The Saudi Arda, or najdiya as it is known locally, is an icon of Saudi traditional dances, an official protocol to celebrate heads of state when they visit the Kingdom, and was included in 1436 Ah/2015 ad, as the first Saudi element in the representative list of intangible heritage registered for the kingdom in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and cultural organization "UNESCO" for World Heritage.
It was previously performed in preparation for war to accustom the army to the atmosphere of battle, then it became an expression of joy, and it is performed collectively after it begins with the horba (the First Call of the show), to start with an enthusiastic kinetic performance with a rhythmic unity between brewing and triangulation and a special poetic poem called Al-Harbi, characterized by carrying the flag and Swords of the participating classes and the unity of their uniforms, and concludes with the
fellowship (under the blessing of Sidi hear and obey).
